We're empowering creatives, administrators, producers, and behind-the-scenes members of the performing arts industry around the world to find their network and have agency over their careers. Working at the crossroads of our development, product, and leadership roles, and reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Product will play a key role in setting the road map, shaping the look and ethos of the product, and defining the development and success of products. We're searching for someone with a passion for rapid and continuous improvement, that thrives in a collaborative environment, welcomes feedback and exhibits strong attention to detail to join our Product team.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Head of Product to join our remotely distributed team or to collaborate in a hybrid model based in Salt Lake City, UT. As a core hire on an early team, we are searching for someone who passionately contributes to our vision, draws constant inspiration from our creative community of users, and who is ready to own the entire product development process, from conception to launch. The Head of Product will be responsible for defining the scope of projects, exploring design solutions, working with the product team to build and test products, seeing them through to launch, and measuring their success.
You’ll succeed in this role if you’re a pragmatic problem solver, and passionate about users’ motivations and experience; you are collaborative and process-driven; you communicate priorities and results effectively with business, technical, design, and leadership stakeholders; you are analytical and data-driven.
As the Head of Product, you would be responsible for the cultivation and improvement of existing functionality, acceleration of growth on the platform, and rapid expansion of Stagetime towards the future.
You’ll be responsible for:
Understand our business strategy, identify business problems and opportunities that can change the trajectory of the business, and setting and communicating the vision and strategy for products to relevant stakeholders and team members.
Leading and participating in planning meetings and providing guidance on the direction of products.
Prioritizing product development while always placing the current and future needs of the design community, users, and stakeholders first.
Writing product briefs.
Defining and analyzing metrics that determine the success of product initiatives - you draw on data and user research to make decisions about what work from the team is most impactful.
You’ll own and maintain the quality of the product you’re responsible for; deliver world-class software in every release.
We believe it's important for you to have:
Relevant experience: You have at least 5+ years previous experience in digital product management and development. Ideally, you have experience with early-stage startups and networks and/or communities.
A proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle, from conception to launch.
A proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
You have a solid understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and design, and ideally, you’ve contributed to a product from either the design or development side. It’s essential you’re able to think deeply about product design decisions and have an understanding of how to create simple user interfaces.
You have a good understanding of design sprints.
Excellent project management and organizational skills: you know where all the moving parts are in the product development process at any given time.
You have deep experience working with both qualitative user insights and quantitative customer data to inform decisions. You’ve conducted user research, a/b tests and have worked closely with design researchers and analysts.
